O Lord, you have abundantly revealed this truth in your word for the glory of your name and for the consolation of the godly, and impressed it upon the hearts of those who believe. This is something which the flesh struggles to understand, Satan hates it, and the world ridicules it. The ignorant and the hypocrites abuse it, while heretics attack it. But your Church, the bride of Christ, has always loved and defended this doctrine steadfastly as a a priceless treasure. And you, O God, against whom no counsel or strength can prevail, shall see to it that she will continue to do so. So to you alone or LORD our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, be honour and glory forever. Amen.
